Legendary Mythos® Performance for Flat Panel TVs
Nothing complements your new high definition flat screen television with more style, versatility and sheer performance than the beautiful Mythos Series models. The Mythos Two is a table/shelf-mount and on-wall model in the critically acclaimed Mythos line of high performance loudspeakers. Mythos Twos come with easy-to-install mounting hardware that allows them to mount on the wall astride your new television. Also included are tempered glass bases to give them stability and style when placed on a table-top. Mythos Two can be used as Left & Right main and surround speakers for truly exceptional home theater audio systems.
Superior Performance Components
Each Mythos Two contains a D'Appolito array consisting of two high-definition 4-1/2 inch drivers housed in a air-tight enclosure. The drivers feature die cast Aluminum baskets, mono-polymer cones and Finite Element Analysis optimized magnet structures for clear low distortion life-like sound. The active drivers are pressure-coupled to two 4-1/2 inch planar Low-Bass Radiators for a total bass radiating surface greater than that of an 8 inch conventional woofer. The result is exceptional bass extension and power not normally found in slim on-wall loudspeakers of this size. The bass roll-off of the Mythos Two is smooth and controlled, allowing it to seamlessly blend with a powered subwoofer, such as Definitive's SuperCubes, for audiophile-grade home theater power and precision. A 1 inch Pure Aluminum dome tweeter produces extended highs that reveal nuance and shimmer without a trace of edginess.
Rock-Solid Enclosure
Mythos Series enclosures are hand-polished gloss Black aircraft-grade extruded aluminum with proprietary damping technologies that ensure total rigidity. All components are mounted on a resonance-free PolyStone baffle. Versatility
The Mythos Two comes with a tempered glass bases to give them stability and style when placed next to a table-top television. The included wall mount bracket that allows direct mounting to a wall and also adapts to flat panel TV swing out arm-style wall mounts so that the speaker angle changes with the TV angle.
"nothing short of amazing"
After six years of listening happily to my Jamo tower speakers and home theater, I finally decided to go shopping for a new system. I walked into my local shop, and the store owner promptly took me to listen to the Definitive setup he had.
I was skeptical at first. I wanted an impressive system, something that would wow the guys, with sound that would blow you away. After listening to the Mythos 2 setup as fronts, with a mythos 3 center I was sold. I ordered the bipolars for surrounds, and haven't got them home yet, but all I can say is the clarity, sound, and presence from these speakers is nothing short of amazing. In fact hearing them has convinced me to consider blowing my budget, using the 2's as surrounds, bipolars on the sides, and ordering a set of Mythos 8's for the front.
This product has completely changed my perception that I need a large speaker to get the clarity, and range I was looking for for my hometheater.
Great product! Keep up the innovations.
