All of the components of this system are packaged and sold separately allowing you to mix and match ProMonitor, ProCenter and ProSub models to create the home theater system that best meets your needs. The system shown on this page is one of many possible systems that may be assembled.
The component parts of this system are:

"Lush, open, immensely pleasing sound"
It was nearly fifteen years ago that I purchased a complete Def Tech setup ... two BP8's, a C1 center, BPX surrounds, and a Powerfield 15 Sub. I had heard them in a Long island showroom, and although I had little audiophile experience, I really liked what I was hearing. I guess you don't have to be a seasoned food critic to know you're eating at a fine restaurant. After recently giving my beloved BP8's as a gift to a friend, I bought two new setups, one a complete ProCinema 1000 system, the other a complete StudioMonitor 450 system, with a SuperCube III Sub. I am just amazed at these speakers. Besides aesthetics, which for their elegant simplicity I am always drawn to, the lush, open, and immensely pleasing sounds that come out of these things makes listening to music, movies, anything, just plain fun. The subwoofer
"a whole new experience. I love 'em."
Yep, never heard the music before I purchased these mini monsters (ProCinema 1000) they pop loud and very, very clean even at very low levels they still pop. I've been listening to some of my old jazz, it's like a whole new experience; I can't believe what I have been missing. I love 'em. I can now feel movies
"I'm delighted."
I have been a user of Definitive's BP2000 speakers (along with center and surrounds) for about 15 years and just decided to upgrade to a Pioneer Elite SC-57 receiver to support them. At the same time I decided to add a second system to our living room and chose the Pioneer Elite VSX-53 to drive the Definitive pro-Cinema 1000 with the 2000 center channel.
This combination is just great! The 1000 speakers are incredible for their size - not just on surround sound, but also on music: the clarity of the high and mid-range is on a par with bookshelf speakers costing five times more. I hesitated over the 2000 center channel because it's an inch deeper than the 1000 but its sound is so clear and rich that I'm happy I went that route. The level and quality of the bass from the subwoofer is way beyond my expectations too. I'm delighted.
