Little...Low...Loud
Huge Bass, Tiny Box
If you want all the high-impact bass excitement of the finest home theater audio systems without taking up a large amount of floorspace, then this is the subwoofer for you. The SuperCube® 2000 is the upgraded successor to the SuperCube III, the most successful subwoofer in Definitive's history. It incorporates a new 7-1/2-inch SuperCube technology woofer pressure-coupled to two 7-1/2-inch ultra low bass radiators. The total piston area is greater than a 12-inch diameter woofer but with far greater speed, musicality and control than a single large-diameter woofer could ever deliver—and it all fits in an impossibly tiny enclosure that is easy to tuck away out of sight. The SuperCube 2000 can easily fill all but the largest domestic spaces with loud, visceral, extended, and musical bass yet it occupies less than three-quarters of a square foot of floor space!

Music Lovers Rejoice
Subwoofer manufacturers are always talking about how "explosive" their subwoofers are (frankly, so do we), but there's more to home entertainment than rocket blasts and explosions—there is also music, be it in the movies you watch or the CDs you enjoy. And for music, the quality of a subwoofer's performance is just as important as its quantity. The bass should be tight, precise, and musical as well as deep and loud. Bass notes should have pitch, not just a dull thud or drone. Definitive Technology is run by audiophile music fanatics, and the very first thing we do to evaluate a subwoofer prototype is listen to music. If a subwoofer doesn't sound superb with music, it's not a Definitive.
Rock Solid Cabinets Ensure Pure Low-Distortion Response
The cabinet of a loudspeaker plays a large part in its sonic performance. Resonance and vibration can add unwanted distortion and drain away important energy from the system. Definitive's subwoofer enclosures have been specifically engineered to be totally inert and vibration-free to ensure you of absolutely pure sonic reproduction. The low-resonance wood composite cabinet incorporates internal braces to ensure total solidity. To top off the extraordinary performance, the SuperCube 2000 is finished in gorgeous piano-gloss black lacquer.
All New Electronics
The SuperCube 2000 uses an all-new digital amplifier that's higher performance and more robust than ever before. Its single LFE input makes setup with multi-channel receivers quick & easy.

"Best audio purchase I've ever made."
Holy cow!! I cannot believe the bass this thing rocks out. I replaced my 18 year old M&K MX 70 with this bad boy and the difference in the low end is incredible. It's equally good for movies and music. Made my entire system sound substantially better. I'll probably have to watch every Blu Ray I own again just to see how they sound with this thing. Best audio purchase I've ever made.
"Exceptional"
Purchase the SuperCube 2000 because my old (very old Jensen) sub was ready to be put to pasture. Was amazed the amount of sound that I have been missing. Exceptional value. Exceptionally pleased.
"when it comes to sound, size doesn't matter."
I checked a few subs.. B&W 8, ML10 etc. but this sub sounded terrific. If you enjoy watching a lot of sci-fi movies with thunderous sound effects then this is the sub for you. For music try B&W or ML.
Def tech proved that when it comes to sound, size doesn't matter.
Holy S***! This thing rocks. I had a Klipsch 12 SW-450 inch that sounded bad and muffled when the bass hit lows and tried to go loud. This thing when I first hooked it up blew the Klipsch away and I only have this up a quarter of the way to break it in for the first 100 hours or so. I can hear the bass so well and the feel it in your gut feeling when this thing hits. Every bullet sound all the bass you could ever want. I have a 18'x28' theater room and this Supercube fills it up very nicely. I wish I bought it sooner. Even my friends ask where my sub is and can't believe its this small. Eventually I want to buy another to put it in the back of my theater room for when I have big movie nights (even though i don't need it lol) Thanks Def Tech.
This review is for a discontinued product (SuperCube III) but I feel like I must submit a review. Looking at the specs of the SC2000, it appears to be very similar to my SuperCube III's except for the additional rear panel connectivity of my SCIII pair, so I put the review here. OK. I bought a pair of SCIII's several years ago after an exhaustive search for a new speaker system. Skip to the present. The digital amp sections and one passive radiator were crapping out after years of hard use in music, movies and secondary audio mix monitoring. One of the SCIII's was an open box purchase at BestBuy. It had some amp problems before and was taken back to BB for warranty service, which cost me nothing but was a big hassle and took a long time. Well fast forward again to present day...I called up DefTech to place an order for parts to repair my beloved and out-of-warranty SCIII subs, which I was happy to pay for. They diagnosed my problem over the phone instantly and then proceeded to ship me the parts I needed for free. No charge, no hassle. They didn't even ask me for the serial numbers, LOL. OUTSTANDING. I have never done business with a company like this, NEVER. I will be a customer for life, and when I get around to setting up my second, purely-stereo-for-music sound system, I will be buying a pair of the DefTech towers with integrated woofers (this makes so much more sense to me for music listening since I grew up with floorstanding full range speakers with 15" woofers staring you in the face.) So thank you to DefTech, one of the honest companies in existence, that makes a superior product and BACKS IT UP WITH ACTION. Also, I think it's a bit redundant to say by now, but these things sound ridiculously good. Quite simply, the most excellent sounding subwoofer I have ever heard...and it is (was) the baby of their whole lineup, LOL!!
